זיטבר נפתח ב‑2025 בטאגור 38, בשכונת נווה אביבים ברמת אביב, בצפון תל אביב. בית קפה עצמאי אחד, לא רשת ולא סניף של אף אחד. השם בא משם המשפחה.
הרעיון פשוט: בית קפה שכונתי שאפשר להגיע אליו כל יום. קפה specialty שנטחן במקום, מאפים וכריכים שמורכבים בהזמנה, ומחירים של שכונה ולא של קניון.
הכריכים מוגשים על שני לחמים: מחמצת חיטה מלאה עם זרעי פשתן, ולחם חלב יפני רך (שוקופאן). לצידם קערות וסלטים, ג׳חנון ביתי בבקרים, עלי גפן, וחלה טרייה בימי שישי — כוסמין או רגיל.
יש גינה עם ישיבה בחוץ, וגם ישיבה בפנים. יש Wi‑Fi חופשי ושקעי חשמל, וחלק גדול מהאנשים כאן עובדים מהמחשב הנייד. אנחנו כשש דקות הליכה מקניון רמת אביב וכעשר דקות משער אוניברסיטת תל אביב, ולכן בבוקר יש כאן סטודנטים ותושבי השכונה באותו חלל.
יש מנות טבעוניות ומנות ללא גלוטן, והתפריט המודפס מסמן אותן יחד עם אלרגנים. תחליפי חלב — סויה, אורז, שקדים, שיבולת שועל ודל שומן — ללא תוספת תשלום.

About ZITBAR CAFE
ZITBAR CAFE opened in 2025 at Tagore 38, in the Neve Avivim area of Ramat Aviv, north Tel Aviv. It is one independent cafe. It is not a chain and not a branch of anything. The name comes from the family name.
The idea is plain: a neighbourhood cafe you can come to every day. Specialty coffee ground on site, pastries and sandwiches assembled to order, and neighbourhood prices rather than mall prices.
Sandwiches come on two breads: wholewheat sourdough with flaxseed, and soft Japanese milk bread (shokupan). Next to them are bowls and salads, homemade jachnun in the mornings, stuffed vine leaves, and fresh challah on Fridays, spelt or regular.
There is a garden with outdoor seating and there is indoor seating. There is free Wi-Fi and there are power outlets, so many people here work from a laptop. The cafe is a six-minute walk from Ramat Aviv Mall and a ten-minute walk from the Tel Aviv University gate, so students and neighbours share the room in the morning.
Vegan and gluten-free dishes are on the menu, and the printed menu marks them together with allergens. Soy, rice, almond, oat and low-fat milk cost nothing extra.
